Aging Infrastructure Assessment & Rehabilitation

Engineering assessment and rehabilitation for existing infrastructure.

01

Service overview

Assessment focused on structural performance and service life.

Ozkan Engineering provides specialized engineering assessment and rehabilitation support for aging and deteriorating infrastructure, with particular expertise in bridges and other structural systems.

We evaluate the condition, structural behaviour and performance of existing steel, reinforced concrete and composite assets to understand the significance of deterioration, damage, changing demands and other factors affecting structural performance and service life.

Our approach can combine code-based assessment, advanced structural analysis, nonlinear finite element modelling, monitoring and available inspection or testing data to evaluate structural capacity and performance. Where intervention is required, we support the development and evaluation of rehabilitation, strengthening and life-extension solutions appropriate to the condition and performance requirements of the structure.

02

Capabilities

Focused technical capabilities.

01

Structural Performance & Capacity Assessment

Evaluation of existing structures to understand behaviour, load-carrying capacity, serviceability and overall structural performance.

02

Deterioration, Damage & Durability

Engineering evaluation of corrosion, material deterioration, damage and aging and their implications for structural performance and service life.

03

Advanced Structural Analysis & Nonlinear FEA

Advanced analytical and numerical methods to investigate complex structural behaviour and support engineering decisions.

04

Rehabilitation, Strengthening & Life Extension

Development and evaluation of rehabilitation and strengthening solutions, including FRP and other appropriate techniques for existing structures.

05

Bridges & Existing Structural Systems

Assessment and rehabilitation of reinforced concrete, steel and composite bridges and other existing structural systems.

06

Climate Resilience & Changing Demands

Evaluation of changing environmental exposure, deterioration and evolving demands affecting long-term infrastructure performance.

03

Engineering decision

From condition to engineering decision.

Assessment should lead to a decision. Our objective is to move beyond identifying deterioration or damage to understanding its significance for structural performance, capacity and service life. This provides the engineering basis for decisions regarding continued service, further investigation, monitoring, rehabilitation or strengthening.
