Experience
Engineering experience across critical infrastructure.
Ozkan Engineering brings together extensive professional experience across structural infrastructure, pipelines, bridges, product and system evaluation, advanced analysis, rehabilitation, infrastructure monitoring, full-scale testing and complex engineering assessment.
This experience provides the technical foundation for the specialized engineering services delivered by Ozkan Engineering today.
Technical depth grounded in engineering practice.
- 01
Canadian Structural Product Evaluation
Evaluation of innovative structural systems for Canadian implementation.
Experience evaluating innovative structural products and systems through review of engineering design methodologies, laboratory evidence, structural behaviour and applicable Canadian codes and standards. Examples of previously conducted work include technical evaluation of sinusoidally corrugated-web steel girder technology against CSA S16 and CSA S136 to establish the engineering basis for Canadian implementation, as well as structural evaluation of FRP composite balcony systems under static and dynamic loading in accordance with the National Building Code of Canada (NBCC), including assessment of strength, stiffness, deflection, vibration, connections and serviceability using analytical methods, finite-element modelling and experimental test results.
- 02
Pipeline Integrity & Full-Scale Testing Experience
Complex pipeline behaviour assessed through analysis and full-scale testing.
Extensive experience evaluating pipeline integrity and deformation capacity under complex loading conditions, including strain-based performance, local buckling, corrosion, material behaviour and combined pressure, axial and bending demands. Previous experience includes the development and execution of large-scale experimental programs supported by advanced nonlinear analysis and engineering assessment. This experience enables Ozkan Engineering to provide technical support for full-scale testing programs, including test planning, analytical support, numerical simulation and interpretation of experimental results.
- 03
Bridge Assessment, Rehabilitation & Structural Performance
Engineering assessment of existing bridge infrastructure.
Experience in structural performance and load-carrying capacity assessment of existing bridges, including reinforced concrete and steel systems, deterioration and durability, reinforcement corrosion, freeze-thaw effects, rehabilitation and strengthening. Experience also includes FRP strengthening approaches for reinforced concrete structural components.
- 04
Advanced Structural & Industrial Integrity Assessment
Advanced analysis for complex structural and industrial systems.
Experience applying advanced finite element analysis and engineering assessment to complex structural and industrial systems, including pipelines, piping assemblies, rotating equipment and heavy structural components. Applications have included structural integrity, fatigue, vibration, deformation, deterioration and other complex loading and performance considerations.
- 05
Satellite-Based Infrastructure Monitoring
Engineering interpretation of infrastructure movement.
Experience developing and applying engineering approaches for interpreting satellite-derived InSAR displacement information for bridge and infrastructure monitoring, including assessment of movement trends and their significance for structural behaviour, targeted investigation and risk-informed monitoring decisions.
